Dear Ms. Fantaci- Hale:
Recently it was brought to the attention of the Salem Board of Health that you may be
planning to operate a recreational camp for children at your property located 32R Irving
Street, Salem for the 2026 recreational camp season.
Be advised, the Salem Board of Health was not aware of this recreational camp for
children and has not received an application for a permit to operate a recreational camp
for children.
In accordance with 105 CMR 430.000 Minimum Sanitation and Safety Standard for
Recreational Camps for Children (Stat Sanitary Code, Chapter IV) and 106 CMR
430.631 Original License, an application for an original license to operate a
summer camp for children must be received at least 90 prior to the opening date.
Therefore, as you have failed to file for an original license as required by 105 CMR
430.631 you are hereby directed to contact the Salem Board of Health upon receipt
of this letter to begin the licensing process. Failure to contact this office will
result in further regulatory action.
