Notes: The business has less than 25 feet of sign frontage, so
the maximum sign area is 25sq ft (50/2 for ECOD). The initial
application proposed one wall sign and one blade sign, the total
sign area was over the max allowed. I notified the applicant. They
provided a revised proposal (see Attachment entitled "Crave -
Salem, MA" that has a revision date of "6-23-21"). The revised
proposal includes a non-illuminated blade sign, and signs that
are resized to fit within the maximum allowed total sign area. On
June 25th, the applicant submitted a surety bond (entitled
"PiffcoStreetBond.pdf"). I submitted the bond to the City Clerk,
who added it to the City Council Agenda for July 15, 2021. The
sign bond was approved by the City Council at the July 15, 2021
meeting.
