Petitioner appealed to the Board. of Appeals and a hearing was held on this
petition on Wednesday, October 27 , 1971 , pursuant to notices mailed post-
paid to the petitioner, abutters , board members , and others , and advertise-
ments 2.iished in the Salem livening News advising of this public :raring.
Board Members present included Chairman John Gray, Acting Secretary William
Abbott , Arthi.lr Labrecque and Norman Welch.
Petitioner appeared and explained the ca:>e the same as in the origin,,I . ap-
peal on file ; back door of the house faces northeast ; this same. poor opens
into the kitchen of the dwelling, and a rear porch would lessen the ,,mount
of cold air, snow, etc . , presently causing considerable discomfor-c the
family .
No one appeared in opposition.
It was the general opinion of the Board that to grant this variar:ce
relieve hardship to petitioner and his family .and would not dero};ste irer..
rhe intent and purpose of the Ordinance and would cause no detri.rnent
the public good, and for these reasons voted unanimously to grant the
appeal as requested.
