Notes: The proposal is to resurface an existing oversized blade sign. The
existing sign is nonconforming to the dimensional standards of the Salem Sign
Ordinance, but was permitted in 1999 to replace what was then a pre-existing
wooden sign in the same location with the same dimensions. The applicant has
demonstrated that the proposed work does not exceed 35 percent of the
replacement cost of the entire sign, so Sec 4-54 Alteration, repair and
