Temporary construction closure of these exits will be managed by the church staff such that at least two exits will be available at all times. • Installation work shall be scheduled sequentially and temporary egress doors provided as required to maintain public safety during the construction period. • Contractor's use of premises shall not interfere with the operations of the church and its tenants. Allow for use of parking lot, entrance and lobbies by the public and provide protection from construction activities and hazards. • Take all precautions necessary to protect the building and to maintain existing building in weather-tight condition throughout the construction period. Section 010400 Coordination • The Contractor is to coordinate the work with the Owner’s Security System subcontractor Section 010500 General Conditions • The Contractor shall submit with their bid a proposed Construction Schedule designed to allow normal church operations without disruption. Mill interior wood and exterior PVC casings with dado to overlay door bucks for composite casing flat to finished wall surface. • Provide all finish carpentry needed for a complete and proper installation including: Fitting and installation of wood standing and running trim, wood doors, door frames. Installation of all finish hardware. Supply and Installation of miscellaneous hardware. Blind nail where possible, set surface nails. Section 064000 Wood Repair • Wood Consolidant: Ready-to-use product designed to penetrate, consolidate, and strengthen soft fibers of wood materials that have deteriorated due to weathering and decay. Use one of the following: Abatron, Inc.; LiquidWood. ConServ Epoxy LLC; Flexible Epoxy Consolidant 100. • Wood-Patching Compound: Two-part epoxy-resin wood-patching compound; knife-grade formulation as recommended by manufacturer for type of wood repair indicated, tooling time required for the detail of work, and site conditions. Compound shall be designed for filling voids in damaged wood materials that have deteriorated due to weathering and decay. Compound shall be capable of filling deep holes and spreading to feather edge. Use one of the following: Abatron, Inc.; LiquidWood with WoodEpox. Advanced Repair Technology, Inc.; Primatrate with Flex-Tec HV. • Epoxy-repaired wood must be painted. See Section 090000 Section 072100 Thermal Insulation • Exterior wall insulation at exposed wall cavities surrounding each door frame shall be equal to Medium density low-VOC closed-cell spray foam insulation, Icynene ProSeal MD-C-200 v3 or equal. Section 079200 Joint Sealants • Urethane Joint Sealant per ASTM C 920: At exterior joints between metal, stucco and stone use single component non-sag non-traffic urethane sealant, installed per manufacturer’s instructions, by Sika, Tremco or Pecora. Confirm compatibility with all products by submitting to manufacturer prior to providing submittal for review by Architect. • Silicone joint sealant: neutral-curing ASTM C 920, Type S, Grade non-sag (NS), Class 25, Non-traffic use related to exposure by Tremco Incorporated or Architect’s approved equivalent – at perimeter joints Page 3 o4 between finish materials and frames of doors and storefronts, control and expansion interior joints, joints between glass panels and other joints between different materials. • Latex joint sealant (interior) – acrylic latex or siliconized acrylic latex ASTM C 834, Type OP, Grade NF by Tremco Incorporated or Architect’s approved equivalent – at vertical joints on exposed surfaces of partitions, perimeter joints between interior wall surfaces and frames of interior doors, other perimeter joints as required. Color – as selected by Architect from manufacturer’s full range of colors. • Provide joint sealant backing ASTM C 1330, Type C (closed-cell material with a surface skin), of size and density to control sealant depth and otherwise contribute to producing optimum sealant performance. Other miscellaneous materials recommended by joint-sealant manufacturer and required for complete and proper installation of the trade.
