At that time the following items were still outstanding: Bathroom 1: - The toilet seat is still loose at its base. Dwelling Unit: - The heating system still does not work. At the time of inspection, the thermostat was set to 90°F. However, the baseboard heaters in both bedrooms, the kitchen, the living room, and the bathroom were cold to the touch. The dwelling unit was warmed by a space heater in the kitchen. The Salem Board of Health will file a complaint against the property owner in Northeast Housing Court to have a hearing to find a way to resolve the issues with the heating system and other violations. The property owner will be notified of the date and time of the hearing through official correspondence from the Northeast Housing Court. All other violations noted in the inspection report of January 28, 2026, have been corrected. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
