It has come to the Building Department's attention that there is a single front room outside of Unit 2
that is being used as a bedroom within this property. It is unclear if this space is fully compliant with
the smoke detector, emergency escape, fire separation and egress requirements of 780 CMR,the MA
State Building Code,that a dwelling unit must meet.
Under the provisions of 780 CMR Section 104.6:Right of Entry,access to this property must be
granted for the purposes of a mandatory inspection.
This inspection is scheduled for: Wednesday, February 18th, 2026
at 10:00 a.m.
Since the property appears to have rented apartments, you are required to provide a signed and
notarized affidavit stating the individuals and their relationships that will be residing on each floor and
apartment unit at the time of inspection. Please contact the Health Department at(978)619-5654 to
discuss this requirement.
Please contact the Building Department immediately at(978)619-5649 upon receipt of this letter to
discuss this matter. Failure to respond to this notification will be construed as non-compliance,and as
such an Administrative Search Warrant will be sought, so as to allow the lawful inspection of this
