Mr. Robert B. Bowman
7 Fairview Avenue
Salem, MA 01970 RE: Zoning violation
Dear Mr. Bowman:
It has come to my attention that you may be using the premises
at 7 Fairview Avenue for business purposes.
This property is located in an R-1 "Residential One-family" Zone.
Home businesses are not a permitted use in such a district. Therefore,
you are hereby ordered to discontinue any unauthorized. activity.
Failure to comply with this order is punishable as prescribed in
Section IX B of the Salem Zoning Ordinance.
During my investigation this date, I found a motor vehicle
parked on the lawn. Under Section VII of the Zoning Ordinance all
off-street parking spaces must be paved. I would further remind
you that overnight parking or storage of commercial vehicles is not
permitted unless it is in connection with a "permitted" use for the
district.
You, of. course, have ,the right of appeal before the Board of
Appeal, however until permission is granted by that authority, all
violations shall be discontinued.
Very truly yours,
Daniel F. Mansur
Certified #676326 Zoning Enforcement Officer (Acting)
