Dear Mr. Marchand:
This Department has received complaints regarding the overall condition of your rental
property. On Tuesday,November 2, an exterior inspection revealed problems with the
rear porch, open soffits, missing siding, rotting sill due to long term exposure to the
elements and a foundation problem in the right rear corner.
State Building Code 780 CMR, Section 103 requires the owner of a property to maintain
all parts of a structure.
Per the authority of State Building Code 780 CMR, Section 115.2 an inspection of the
entire property is required. You are directed to contact this office within 10 days upon
receipt of this letter to arrange for an inspection.
Failure to comply will result in a complaint being filed in Salem District Court.

A follow up inspection was conducted at the above
mentioned property and several violations still remain
pertaining to the original letter sent to you April 17 ,
1996 which is enclosed .
Please contact this office if a problem exists that
said violations can not be corrected . If not , please have
problems corrected in a timely manner . Failure to do so
will result in legal action being taken against you .

ballasters.
3. Light at rear entrance over door must be repaired.
4. Holes must be patched in foundation around oil fill.

6. Replace broken glass in basement window.
Replace rotted wood at front at front entry.
