On Tuesday,November 2, an exterior inspection revealed problems with the rear porch, open soffits, missing siding, rotting sill due to long term exposure to the elements and a foundation problem in the right rear corner. State Building Code 780 CMR, Section 103 requires the owner of a property to maintain all parts of a structure. Per the authority of State Building Code 780 CMR, Section 115.2 an inspection of the entire property is required. You are directed to contact this office within 10 days upon receipt of this letter to arrange for an inspection. Failure to comply will result in a complaint being filed in Salem District Court. Rear egress stairs must have closed in risers . 2. No space greater than 10" from center to center on rails being used as ballasters. 3. Light at rear entrance over door must be repaired. 4. Holes must be patched in foundation around oil fill. 3. Replace missing downspouts. 6. Replace broken glass in basement window. Replace rotted wood at front at front entry.
