At its meeting on June 15, 2017 the Planning Board voted six (6) in favor (Chau Ben Anderson,
Vice Chair Matt Veno, Carole Hamilton, Bill Griset, Noah Koretz and Kirt Rieder) and none
opposed to recommend denial of the proposed amendment relative to Section 7.3.6 of the Salem
Zoning Ordinance.

An Oitfsnance to amend ordinance relative to Zoning
Be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Salem,as follows:
Section I. Chapter 7.3.6 — APPLICATION OF THE CITY'S ZONING
ORDINANCE WITHING PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT
Sec. 7.3.6—Application of the City's Zoning Ordinance is hereby amended by deleting
this section within the Planned Unit Development Sec. 7 of the Zoning Ordinance in its
entirety and replacing it with the following:
"Sec. 7.3.6—Application
Any petition filed for a planned unit development under this section shall be
accompanied by fifteen(15) copies of a site plan,which shall be at a scale to be
established by the Planning Board and shall include fifteen(15)copies of all the
information required for a definitive plan under Salem Zoning Ordinance section 9.5.3
through 9.5.6. and such petition shall also be accompanied by fifteen(15)copies of an
environmental impact statement as set out in Appendix A of the subdivision regulations
of the Planning Board of the City of Salem"
SectionLI. This Ordinance shall take effect as provided by City Charter.

of the City Council and Planning Board
Monday, June 12, 2017 6:00 P.M.
The City Council will hold a joint public hearing with the Planning Board on Monday, June 12, 2017 at 6:00
P.M. in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 93 Washington St., Salem, MA for all persons interested in the
proposed amendment to the City of Salem Zoning Ordinance for the purpose of deleting Chapter 7.3.6 of the
City of Salem Zoning Ordinance and replacing it with the following:
Any petition filed for a planned unit development and this section shall be accompanied by fifteen (15) copies
of a site plan, which shall be at a scale to be established by the Planning Board and shall include fifteen (15)
copies of all the information required for a definitive plan under Salem Zoning Ordinance Section 9.5.3 through
9.5.6 and such petition shall also be accompanied by fifteen (15) copies of an environmental impact statement
as set out in Appendix A of the subdivision regulations of the Planning Board of the City of Salem.
The proposed zoning ordinance amendment are on file and available for review during normal business hours at
the City Clerks Office, Room 1, 93 Washington Street, Salem MA or at the Department of Planning &
Community Development, 3'a floor, 120 Washington Street, Salem, MA.
