Honorable Mayor Stanley J. Usovicz Jr.
City of Salem
93 Washington Street
Salem, Ma. 01970
Dear Mayor Usovicz:
The Public Property Department respectfully requests a change to the Salem Zoning
Ordinance Section 5-2 Section (B) item (2).
Currently the language allows "Two family dwelling detached or attached".
We would like to delete the words "detached or".
Allowing two detached dwelling on one lot conflicts with both the City of Salem `s
definition of a lot and the State's definition of lot.
Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
Sinc ly,
Thomas St. Pierre
Zoning Enforcement Officer
