The Zoning Board on December 15, 2004, denied an initial proposal. We believe that the application was denied in part because one of the neighbors was concerned that the proposed 2-story addition would block their view of the harbor. Since this hearing, we have had further discussion with the neighbors and have revised the plans to address their concerns. We feel that we are submitting plans that are significantly different then the original proposal and that address concerns of the neighbors. The new proposal is a one-story addition that is set in the same location as an existing to be demolished one story 3-season porch. The new proposal seems to address the neighbors concerns relative to view. In general, we feel that the proposed structure is consistent with the residential architecture in the area and similar in size and scale to the other additions in the area. Please accept the attached drawings witch describe the existing conditions, the denied proposal and the new proposal. The Planning Board shall not take final action on such application. until it has received a report thereon from the Inspector of Buildings.
