The Undersigned represent(s) that they are the owner(s) of a certain parcel of land located at:

An application is being submitted to the Board of Appeals for the following reason(s):
The applicant seeks dimensional variances to install several outdoor stairways, and upper floor stairs, walkways and decks that will
enhance the fire safety and convenience of tenants in the building. Applicant also seeks a Finding allowing applicant to subdivide
existing first floor apartment and install an ADU in a portion of that existing first floor space.
For this reason, I am requesting:
[ true ]Variance (s) from provisions of Section Sec. 4.1 of the Zoning Ordinance, specifically from These exterior stairs, walkways and
decks will increase existing dimensional nonconformities as to:
1. rear yard width of 6'+- is requested, where existing width is 9'+-, and 30 ' is required;
2. lot coverage of 51.4% is requested where existing coverage is 49.6% and 35% is the maximum allowed; and
3. lot area per dwelling unit of 497 SF is requested where 597 SF per unit is existing and 3,500 SF per unit is required.

Zoning Ordinance in order to We seek a FINDING by majority vote that proposed multi-family building with a first floor ADU will be no
more detrimental to the neighborhood than the existing garage.

The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem Zoning Ordinance and allow the project to be
constructed as per the plans submitted, as the enforcement of said Zoning By-Laws would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning
Ordinance.
