2-4 Forrester Street Preservation Planner Notification to Applicant W Outlook Re: 2-4 Forrester St From Patricia Kelleher <pkelleher@Salem.com> Date Thu 11/13/2025 10:13 AM To Adam Schoenhardt <inadamsgarden@comcast.net> Cc Brennan Postich <bpostich@Salem.com> Hi Adam, It was nice meeting you yesterday and learning about your project at 2-4 Forrester Street. While I believe the Historical Commission will be in support of the proposed changes and restoration efforts at your historic house, the Commission does have review jurisdiction over the demolition of the garage on the property. When I first reviewed the ZBA application, I thought that the project included only the building changes, which are less than 50%of building walls and roof, and did not realize that the garage would be demolished. Please submit an application to the Commission to waive the demolition delay here: https://salemma.viewpointcloud.com/categories/1087/record-types 6521. If I receive the application by November 17th, I can add you to the Commission's December 3rd meeting agenda. I will send a staff memo to the ZBA for your current variance and special permit requests. Please do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Good morning I stopped in the Building Dept office to check on the permit for my lower level renovation and also the rebuild of my back extension as it has rotten sills and leaking. I was told that for some reason it got sent to you apparently to check on the historic district. The house obviously is a wonderful historic structure and is deemed historically significant but it's not in the historic district so I'm not sure what is necessary for you to sign off on it. I have a dumpster here and wanted to get going so Beth at the desk said you send you an email to check in. Thank you so much for your help in expediting this matter. Have a wonderful weekend.
