It has come to the Building Department's attention that the former Drink-Stir/Chinese Food Take-Out
commercial space located in the property at 99 North Street has had demolition work done without any
Building Permits or Plumbing Permits issued. The current state of the former kitchen space is unclear
and if the former kitchen space has any violations from the unpermitted demolition work.
The unpermitted demolition conditions are in violation of Section 105.1:Required Permits of the
Massachusetts State Building Code. Under the provisions of 780 CMR Section 104.6:Right of Entry,
access to this property must be granted for the purposes of a mandatory inspection.
This inspection is scheduled for: Wednesday, January 14th, 2026
at 10.00 a.m.
Since the property appears to have rented apartments above the commercial space,you are required to
provide a signed and notarized affidavit stating the individuals and their relationships that will be
residing on each floor and apartment unit at the time of inspection.Please contact the Health
Department at(978)619-5654 to discuss this requirement.
Please contact the Building Department immediately at(978) 619-5649 upon of receipt of this letter to
discuss this matter. Failure to respond to this notification will be construed as non-compliance, and as
such an Administrative Search Warrant will be sought, so as to allow the lawful in of this
property.

Standards in Boston.
