MA 978.744.8982 CONSTRUCTION OBSERVATION# 10 February 15,2019 Tom St.Pierre Inspectional Services Director City of Salem Inspectional Services Salem,Massachusetts 01970 Project: RCG 120 Washington Street Re: Construction Observation Dear Tom, The following observations are based on a periotic site visits by Michel Beheshti,of my staff. Observation: General areas: • All sprinkler systems are in place per new layout. Lobby Area: • All security system and life safety done. • The Mail boxes are operational. 2°d floor: • The 2nd Floor roof deck is in place. • All steel components of the new deck are completed. • The rough ramp structure is in place,need finishing and railing. • The newel post is in progress. 31 floor south: • All 3rd floor rough inspections are done. • All walls have sheet rock and tapping 90%done,need sanding. • The doors and window trims in units 301, 305 are 90%done. • The units 301 and 305 have completed the rough inspection for electrical and plumbing. • The unit 301 bath room tile work has started. • The unit 301 the tub is installed most doors are installed the tile work at shower/tub is in progress,the individual shower needs the work. • The unit 302 drywall is 100%done and tapping is 90%done. • The unit 302,25%of floor levelling is done. • The HVAC is in progress throughout the floor. • All corridor ceiling grids are complete. • The unit 305 doors are being installed. • The unit 305 fire caulking on the existing shaft yet to be done and inspected by the 31 party inspector. • Window trims and sills yet to be finished. M 4"floor: • All HVAC is completed. • All rough inspections are done. • All units firestopping in units 401,402,403 and 405 ready for Yd party inspection after that. • The unit 401 rough studs are done. • The unit 401 tub is in place,need fire caulking and to be inspected by 31 party inspector. • The unit 402 the sheet rock is about 95%done the doors to be installed. • The unit 402 the window trims are not done. • The unit 402 the tub is installed,rough plumbing at sink and toilet is done. • The unit 403 all sheet rocks to be done.The rough plumbing is done.The window trims are done. • The unit 404 heater is installed above ceiling level,the ceiling is not finished yet. • The unit 405 rough studs are done,insulation has started. Recommendations or Actions: 1-The Structural Engineer will be submitting independent reports. 2-The MEP, fire protection,civil reports are not part of this report.
