The material in question consists of 100% nylon goods, weighing approximately 42 ounces, manufactured by Philadelphia Carpet Co., Type #17357, Style #SP 77. In the corridor and stairwells, it is glued directly to the slab or treads, without a pad. In the units, it is laid over a foam pad. The test data on the carpet as related to me is as follows: o ASTM E84 Tunnel Test results: Flamespread:30; Fuel Contribution: 20; Smoke Density: 155. o NBS Smoke Density Test results: 247. o Critical Radiant Flux greater than 1.00 watts per square centimeter. o FHA and HUD approved. o Rating: Class "B". Based upon conversations with the carpeting subcontractor, it is my under- standing that this material has been satisfactorily tested and complies with all Code requirements as installed at The Cogswell Condominium.
