Dear Mr. Labelle,
As you are aware, I called out a building code violation back in May of this year. You filed an Appeal to my
order which was scheduled for a hearing in August in which you did not appear.I am aware that you have asked
to for a new, or re-hearing of the case but several months have passed with no response. At this time a, I have a
decision from the Board and must move forward with violation.Therefore,you are directed to secure a new
permit and to replace one skylight, in any unit that does not have an egress window,with a skylight meeting the
egress requirement of the State Building Code. Work needs to commence within 30 days of this notice.Failure
to address this issue will result in Municipal code tickets and further enforcement actions. Your right of Appeal
is to the Board of Buildings,Regulations and Standards(although if a new hearing is not approved, your
Appeal would be to Court).Please advise us of your course of action as early as possible.
