Dear Sir:
In accordance with Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code, 105 CMR 410.000, Minimum
Standards of Fitness for Human Habitation, re-inspections of your property located at
320 Lafayette Street Unit 206 were conducted by Jeffrey Barosy, Sanitarian of the
Salem Board of Health on November 12, 2025, and November 18, 2025.
NOTE: The inspector conducted two re-inspections on the 121" and 18th of
November 2025. During the second re-inspection, the inspector was accompanied
by the Regional Public Health Trainer, Stephen Casey, Jr. During the second re-
inspection it was determined the glass panes in the living room window's sashes
and the bedroom's sliding doors leading to the balcony were intact and thus were
not in violation of 105 CMR 410:000 Minimum Standards of Fitness for Human
Habitation at this time.
The inspector and the trainer determined the windows and sliding doors opened,
closed, and locked as designed. In the living room, cool air was felt at the top
corner edge of the window frame and at the top middle of the window. However,
upon further investigation, exterior wind did not appear to enter through these
areas during the inspection. In the bedroom, air could not be felt around the
sliding doors' frame. It was noted that caulking and felt weather stripping was
added around the edges of the sliding doors and the sliding doors' frame by the
occupant.
During the re-inspection on November 12, 2025, in the bedroom, condensation
was observed on the interior side of the glass in the right-side sliding door.
During the re-inspection on November 18, 2025, no condensation was observed
on the sliding doors.
The inspector advises the property owner and property manager to monitor the
windows and sliding doors for deterioration.
All violations noted in the inspection report of June 26, 2025, have been
corrected.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
