Subject: Sign Review Committee Vote - 600 Loring Avenue
Good Afternoon,
I am reaching out to request your vote on the attached Sign Permit SP-23-66 for 600 Loring
Avenue (Jay's Cleaners) per section 8.2.6 of the Salem zoning ordinance. The application
includes LED internally illuminated channel letters mounted to a raceway track.
Internally illuminated signs are not recommended in the entrance corridor designguidelines. I would recommend external illumination such as goose neck lights, or backlitchannel letters rather than internally illuminated.
Please reply all with your vote so I can record the vote in the file.
Best,
Beth

Given that internal illumination is not recommended in the guidelines, my vote is no.
