RE: Stop Work Order; Working without permit.
Dear Property Owner
As of October 16, 2025, it has come to the building department's attention that work began in the
basement and exterior of the building without a permit at 2-4 Forrester Street. This is a violation
the City of Salem's Code of Ordinances Section 12-2 and 780 CMR 105.1.
No further work may continue at the property until all proper documents have been submitted
and approvals have taken place. Failure to comply will result in municipal ticketing. Please
contact the Building Department at (978) 619-5662 upon receipt of this notice. If you are
aggrieved by this letter, your appeal is to the Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
