272 Highland Avneue Sign Committee Review and Vote Beth Forrestal From: Beth Forrestal Sent: Wednesday, April 2, 2025 3:44 PM To: Tom Daniel;Amanda Chiancola; Stavroula Orfanos Subject: Sign Committee Vote 272 Highland Avenue Attachments: DL-10603-Salem-MA-r3.pdf Good Afternoon, I am reaching out to request your vote on the attached Sign Permit SP-25-11 for 272 Highland Avenue (formerly CVS, soon to be Dollar Tree) per section 8.2.6 of the Salem zoning ordinance. The application includes LED internally illuminated channel letters mounted to a raceway track. Please note that the applicant has significantly reduced their sign square footage but would like to retain the internal illumination. Internally illuminated signs are not recommended in the entrance corridor design guidelines. I would recommend external illumination such as gooseneck lights, or backlit channel letters rather than internally illuminated. Please "reply all" with your vote so I can record the vote in the file.
