An application is being submitted to the Board of Appeals for the following reason(s):
Building a small covered porch in the Rear Yard Setback 6 feet from the rear yard lot line and adding a dormer on the third floor
increasing the gsf more than 2 feet above the floor level on a single-family residence in the R2 Zoning District.the current depth of my
rear yard is 0 feet.
For this reason, I am requesting:

[ true ] A Special Permit under Section Relief under SectionS 3.5.5. and 4.1. 1. and 4.1.2. for the Covered Porch and Dormer for the
alteration of a nonconforming structure.. of the Zoning Ordinance in order to Any alteration to this Nonconforming Structure requires relief
as the front yard and rear yard setbacks add up to more than the depth of the lot.

The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem Zoning Ordinance and allow the project to be
constructed as per the plans submitted, as the enforcement of said Zoning By-Laws would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning
Ordinance.
