Dear Property Owner,
As of September 19, 2025, it has come to the building department's attention that work began
again in the basement without a permit at 16 Eden Street. This is a violation Salem MA Code of
Ordinances Section 12-2 and International Building Code Section 105.1.
No further work may continue at the property until all proper documents have been submitted
and approvals have taken place by a structural engineer. Please contact the Building Department
at(978) 619-5642 upon receipt of this notice. If you are aggrieved by this letter,your appeal is to
the Board of Building Regulations and Standards.
