Address of Project: 76 LAFAYETTE STREET
Meeting Date:July 9, 2025
Members Present:Grace Napolitano, Christopher Dunn, Glenn Larose, Christine Madore
Members Absent:Dean Rubin
Decision:To approve the project pending successful completion of DRB review and pursuant to the DRB Recommendation.
Referenced Plans and Documents:
- Application Package prepared and submitted by Justin Sharkey, Project Manager, RCG, submitted on June 25, 2025.
Conditions of Approval:
- Validity of Approval: This approval is valid for two years from the date of the meeting. The approval shall no longer be valid if a substantial use
and/or construction has not commenced except for good cause within this two-year period.
- Consistency with Approved Design/Plans: Should the applicant determine that the project may not be completed as presented and conditioned
herein, he/she/they shall return to the SRA to review proposed modifications prior to making any changes in the field.
- There are no special conditions for this project.
Findings:
-
The Authority found that the closing of the Dodge Street Court entrance to the parking lot will not have a detrimental effect on the Downtown
Redevelopment Area, as evidenced by the support for the project by the Salem Police Department's Parking and Traffic division, the Salem Fire
Department, and the Salem Transportation Department.
The members found that the continuation of the existing fencing to close the entrance will create a seamless appearance and is appropriate for the
project.
Signature of the SRA: By the signature below, I certify that this recommendation accurately reflects the actions of the Salem Redevelopment
Authority Board.
