Crowley, Acting Fire Chief FROM: John J . Giardi , Wire Inspector SUBJECT : 41 Endicott Street Mattress Fire 4_March 2 , 1985 Wire Inspector, John J . Giardi was asked to investigate for any elec- trical damage that may have resulted in the fire that took place at 0734 hours on Saturday, March 2 , 1985 . Upon investigating , he found a duplex outlet that was sprayed with water and a ceiling fixture had been subjected to water . He recommended that the canopy be removed and the duplex outlet be removed to allow the branch circuit conductors to properly dry out and he also recommended re- placing the duplex outlet and checking the branch circuits involved before restoring electrical service to the areas in question . hn J .
