SUBJECT : 41 Endicott Street Mattress Fire 4_March 2 , 1985
Wire Inspector, John J . Giardi was asked to investigate for any elec-
trical damage that may have resulted in the fire that took place at 0734
hours on Saturday, March 2 , 1985 .
Upon investigating , he found a duplex outlet that was sprayed with
water and a ceiling fixture had been subjected to water . He recommended
that the canopy be removed and the duplex outlet be removed to allow the
branch circuit conductors to properly dry out and he also recommended re-
placing the duplex outlet and checking the branch circuits involved before
restoring electrical service to the areas in question .
