Will hold a public hearing for all persons interested in the petition of THE RESIDENCES ON CAN
STREET,LLP at 266 CANAL STREET(Map 32,Lot 0036, 0037,0038,0102,0144) for Variances per Section
4-51(a)(2)and Section 4-51(a)(6)of the Salem Code of Ordinances.The proposed Variances would allow the
placement of two (2) temporary banners reading"NOW LEASING"&"Livelore.com"for two (2) years
where fifteen(15) days are allowed.The primary banner would face East along Canal Street,while the
secondary banner would face South along Kimball Road. The bottom of both banners would be thirty-six
(36) feet, four(4)inches above the first-floor elevation.Both proposed banners would be larger than thirty
percent(30%) of the size of the windows they are affixed to. Both proposed banners would be positioned
above the sills of the first-level windows located above the first story.
The public hearing will be held on Wednesday,June 18,2025,at 6:30 PM via remote participation.The
agenda will be posted to the City Calendar and the Zoning Board of Appeals page by June 13,2025,on
Nxrw-\v.salemnia.gov/877-,'Zoniiia-Bo-,ird-of-,�1)1-)ealls.The City is authorized to conduct remote meetings of its
public bodies through June 30,2027 per Section 30A of Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021,as amended by
Section 40 of Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2023,and further amended by Section 1 of Chapter 2 of the Acts of
2025.
