The Undersigned represent(s) that they are the owner(s) of a certain parcel of land located at:

An application is being submitted to the Board of Appeals for the following reason(s):
We propose to install 2 temporary marketing banners on Building 1 to advertise the new mixed use building for a duration of 3 years from
the date of installation where the date of installation is estimated to be June 30, 2025. The size and quantity of the banners are in
keeping with the building's architecture, size and location.
Banner Location 1-Primary/East/Canal Street facade: Horizontal banner ; 342" W x 38" H with 18" letters "NOW LEASING" "Livelore.com"
. Bottom of banner proposed to be 36' above 1st floor elevation; top of banner proposed to be 39'-2" above 1st floor elevation .
Banner Location 2 - Secondary/South/Kimball facade:Vertical banner ; 68" W x 286" H with 19" letters "NOW LEASING" "Livelore.com".
Bottom of banner proposed to be 14' above 1st floor elevation; top of banner proposed to be 37'-10"
above 1st floor elevation .
We are seeking relief (or a special permit) for these banners due to the quantity, size, elevation and duration of installation for temporary
signage.
The proposed temporary banners are in conflict with the following language in Section 4-51:
Section 4-51 - On-premises signs in nonresidential districts
1. The following on-premises signs in nonresidential districts are permitted:
1. All signs allowed in residential districts Section 4-50. Limitations in residential districts -
In any residentail district as defined in the zoning ordinance, there shall not be any sign
except as follows: (3) One for sale sign or for rent sign, not exceeding eight square feet
in area, advertising the property on whic such sign is located.
2. A wall sign attached parallel to a building which projects no more than 15 inches from
the building surface, provided that the top of such sign is no higher than whchever of
the following is the lowest: a. 25 feet above sidewalk or finished grade; b The top of the
sills of the 1st level of windows above the first story; or c. The height of the building at
the building at the building line
6. Temporary signs pertaining to special sales or events lasting no more than 15 days
affixed to windows

The quantity, size, elevation and duration of installation for temporary signage are the elements that
conflict with the above language and we are seeking relief from the Zoning Board of Appeals so
these marketing banners can be installed as needed.

The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem Zoning Ordinance and allow the project to be
constructed as per the plans submitted, as the enforcement of said Zoning By-Laws would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning
Ordinance.
