We are proposing to extend the enclosed first floor porch up to the second floor and construct our egress in there. We are proposing to construct an enclosed back staircase structure to our home located at 8 Cushing Street, in the R-2 Zoning District. The Zoning Ordinance requires the minimum width of the side yard to be 10 feet; the existing porch is currently 3.3 feet away from the side yard, the proposed structure would maintain this width but will extend to the second floor.
