Design Comments: The DRB requests the applicant administers the following: 1. The applicant administers a painting solution to the mechanical systems on the rooftop that can be seen from Sewall Street and Lynde Street. The paint solution will match the color of the new stairs and elevator vestibules. The left photo below showcases the current mechanical system conditions, and the right photo shows the rendered view with the new vestibules that will provide color reference. Page 2 of 2 Findings: 1. The Board found that the proposed roof top recreation additions on the YMCA historic building were consistent with the design standards and guidelines in the Downtown Renewal Plan and the SHC Notebook. 2. The Board found that the proposed roof top recreation project will not denigrate from the character of the Downtown Renewal Area. The Board is supportive of adding additional recreation space and appreciates recreation space if being added to an existing structure rather than space at grade. Signature of the DRB: By the signature below, I certify that this recommendation accurately reflects the discussion and actions of the Design Review Board. _______________________________________ _________ Marc Perras, Vice Chair Date
