Dear Sir/Madam:
In accordance with Chapter II of the State Sanitary Code, 105 CMR 410.000, Minimum
Standards of Fitness for Human Habitation, a recent re-inspection was conducted of your
property located at 116 Lafayette Street Unit 202, conducted by Jeffrey Barosy, Sanitarian of
the Salem Board of Health on May 15, 2025. At that time the following items were still
outstanding:
Bedroom 1:
- The bathroom sink in room 202 still has low hot water pressure.
Common Bathroom
- The third-floor bathroom across from room 309 still has a part of its floor at the base
of the tub that sinks in when stepped on.
- The second-floor bathroom across from room 209 still has peeling and deteriorating
paint on the interior surface of its bathtub.
Hallway-Common
- The ceiling tiles above the hallway stairs that lead to the property's front door are still
damaged and have brown discoloration from prior water leakage.
Please correct the outstanding violations and contact this office to schedule a final re-inspection
of this apartment.
All other violations noted in the inspection report of March 10, 2025, have been
corrected. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
