This especial permission will not affect the land, building, or structure involved in the same district. Staircase will provide a mean of egress for the future studio in case of fire to make it safe to escape in case of emergency, in my R2 Zoning. 2. In case I am not allowed to build the staircase it would not allow me to build the intended studio and therefore not allow me to provide affordable rent to others while helping me financially as well. The studio will not change the dimensions of the house. 3. I will be building the staircase on the existing porch on the Northend st side of the house. This will definitely not cause any detriment to the public good or substantially derogate from the intent of the district or the purpose of the ordinance. Having the staircase will not hurt the public good because most houses surrounding 183 North st use the property line as their first step to their stairs. Houses around my house use the property line as their cutoff leaving zero feet as setback.
