I emailed the applicant verifying the number of units inside the house because the building is in the R2 District (so two units are allowed while three are not). He let me know the building inspector approved an ADU in the basement, and there is one unit in the house. From what I understand, that means the applicant is able to build an additional unit because the ADU does not apply to the total number of units in the house. Please let me know what you think.
