Decision:The Design Review Board recommends approval with the condenser being in a tone that
is compatible or similar to the building, the infill in the window as presented, and the
paint for the AC Louvers done in such a way to match the color and texture of the
existing building.
Referenced Plans and Documents:
- The guiding documents include the Secretary of Interior 's Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties
and the Salem Historical Commission Guidelines Notebook.
Conditions of Approval:
- Consistency with Approved Design/Plans: Should the applicant determine that the project may not be
completed as presented and conditioned herein, he/she/they shall return to the DRB to review proposed
modifications prior to making any changes in the field.
- The condenser shall be in a tone that is compatible or similar to the building, the infill in the window shall be
as presented, and the paint for the AC louvers shall be done in such a way to match the color and texture of
the existing building.
Findings:
- The Design Review board found the proposed small project with the conditions of approval consistent with
the design guidelines and standards in the Downtown Renewal Plan.
