Patti From: Kathryn Newhall-Smith <knewhallsmith@Salem.com> Sent: Thursday, December 2, 2021 9:08 AM To: Patricia Kelleher <pkelleher@Salem.com> Cc: Tom Daniel <tdaniel@Salem.com> Subject: 302A-B Essex Street Hi Patti, The owners of Moon Baby Hair Salon and Witch City Wicks are seeking to install new doors on their businesses – three doors in total. Both businesses have experienced break ins in the past month with the intruders breaking the glass panels on the residential-style doors, reaching in to unlock them, and then entering the businesses. They are hoping to install commercial-style doors in a bronze finish. Please see attached presentation. They are before the SRA next week, 12/8/21. I’m going to ask the SRA members to consider voting to approve the project pending DRB review and approval. My hope is to get them through the process this month so they can install the new doors asap to prevent further break-ins, and to hopefully restore a sense of safety to both owners and their staff. Please let me know if you have any concerns with the proposal.
