public comment 31 Chestnut Street - Councillor Cohen Good morning Patti. As am unable to attend the 12/4 meeting, I'd like to offer the following public testimony: Jeff Cohen 12 Hancock St Salem's Ward 5 Councillor I am writing in support of the application for 31 Chestnut St (Selbst & Williams) for installation of EV charging. The recently passed (MA Legislature) and signed (Gov Healey) "Climate Bill" says Historic Commissions “shall not prohibit or unreasonably restrict an owner from installing electric vehicle supply equipment.” Thank you for your consideration. Also, regarding solar PV, Historical Commissions are now required to “give substantial weight to the threat posed by climate change and to the commonwealth’s obligation to meet statewide greenhouse gas emission limits when ruling on applications."
