Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. District: McIntire Address of Property: 315-317 Essex Street Name of Record Owner: Lois Ferraresso Description of Work Proposed: • Exterior painting to match existing colors. o Paint front of property (scrape, caulking and prep where necessary, spot oil primer, 1 coat finish paint)  The previous color was a Custom Green (Match) in matte finish and will be painted the same color. o Paint base trim (scrape, caulking and prep where necessary, spot oil primer, 1 coat finish paint).  Trim color is HC-174 (Lancaster Whitewash). o Front door – 1 coat finish polyurethane o Two domes on front of condo – 1 coat finish paint on the body and trim o Paint 20 shutters on front of building – 1 coat paint All paint will be hand scraped. Non-applicable due to being in-kind painting.* *NOTE: Should repair of historic trim be necessary, historic materials and details must be retained and repaired except where material is not salvageable and must be replaced. If replacement is necessary, new elements must replicate existing details, dimensions and materials. Should any changes to materials, design or outward appearance be determined necessary, Applicant must submit a new application for review. Upon completion of above work, please notify Historical Commission staff as final sign-off is required to document compliance with this Certificate and approved plans.
