Dear Owner,
Due to a complaint from a Prime Storage customer that no elevators were working to access his
storage unit I made a visit to your property. That was on July 26, 2024. There have been several
phone calls to the District Manager Kelly. The building department did connect with her the first
phone call but has not been able to reach her since and no voice mall to leave message. As of
9/5/2024 the elevators are still not working.
You are in violation of 2015 IBC Section 102.8 Maintenance of Existing Buildings and
structures. All buildings and structures and all parts thereof, both existing and new, and all
systems and equipment therein which are regulated by 780 CMR shall be in a safe, operable and
sanitary condition. All service equipment means of egress, devices and safeguards which are
required in a building or structure, or which were required by a previous statute in a building or
structure, when erected, altered or repaired, shall be maintained in good working order.
I have written a Violation Ticket for$300.00 and left it with your employee working at 38
Swampscott Rd. I am mailing a copy of that ticket to Commando North Shore LLC. I will be
sending Commando North Shore LLC a violation every week until repair of elevators is
complete.
You are hereby directed to contact this office immediately upon receipt of this letter to discuss
this matter.
If you feel aggrieved by this order, your appeal is to the Board of Buildings, Regulations and
Standards in Boston.
