Re: Decision of the Zoning Board of Appeals to grant a six (6) month extension to Lori Pattison to
exercise rights granted by the August 14, 2023, Board Decision that approved variances from Section
4.1.1 Dimensional Requirements for lot area per dwelling unit and from Section 5.1.8 Table of Required
Spaces at 111/2 Hardy Street.
The Salem Zoning Board of Appeals met on Wednesday,August 21,2024, to discuss your request for a six (6)
month extension to exercise rights granted by the August 14,2023,Board Decision that approved variances for
lot area per dwelling unit and from Table of Required Spaces at 11 '/2 Hardy Street.
The request before the board on Wednesday,August 21,2024,was to extend this timeline for the variances an
additional six (6) months, to February 14th,2025.
On July 31, 2024, a letter from Attorney William Quinn on behalf of Lori Pattison was submitted requesting a
six (6) month extension.This extension would expire on February 14th, 2025.
As noted by representative William Quinn at the August 21, 2024,meeting,the cost of financing has impacted
the petitioner to acquire proper financing and the petitioner is continuing their efforts to secure financing for
the project.
The petitioner will file updated plans with the Zoning Board of Appeals and the Building Commissioner. The
Building Commissioner will review the plans in consultation with the Chair of the Board of Appeals. Any
changes that affect the zoning relief that was initially granted by the Board of Appeals will be brought back to
this Board.
The Zoning Board of Appeals voted five (5)in favor (Nina Vyedin (Chair), Paul Viccica,Ellen Simpson,
Stephen Larrick and Carly McClain and none (0) opposed to grant the requested six-month extension to
exercise the rights granted by the August 14, 2023,Board Decision.
This determination shall become part of the record for this project.
