Salem, MA. 1. No Substantial Detriment: The proposed addition will not be substantially more detrimental than the existing non-conforming structure. The design is consisten with the existing setbacks and footprint to the greatest extent possible and seeks to enhance the property's functionality without increasing the degree of non- conformity. The addition is intended to improve the quality of living for current and future occupants while maintaining the integrity of the neighborhood.The design and use will remain the same. 2. Community Need: : Granting this Special Permit serves a significant community need by providing improved living conditions within an existing residential area. Enhancing and modernizing homes within the community supports local housing needs and helps retain long-term residents, fostering community stability and continuity. 3. Traffic Flow and Parking: The proposed addition will not adversely impact traffic flow or parking.No additional parking will be needed and the property has adequate off-street parking, and the addition will not increase the number ofvehicles or the demand for parking in the area. 4.
