RE: Stop Work Order Posted For Business Operation Violation
Dear Mr. Centorino,
As of June 3rd, 2024 it has come to my attention that boat maintenance and
repair work is being performed at this address in the public right of way. Upon
inspection, I observed you conducting such work in the street and you
mentioned that your mobile boat service business is registered to this address.
After reviewing the City's Zoning Ordinance,your property is located in a B2
`Business Highway'zone where motor vehicle, trailer and boat sales, service
and rentals are allowed only by a special permit issued by the Zoning Board of
Appeals. Thus conducting your business at this location without a special
permit, and in the public right of way, is in violation of Section 3.1, Table C of
the City's Zoning Ordinance, and work must Cease and Desist immediately.
No further work may be performed at this property until such time as the violation
has been corrected and a Special Permit has been obtained. Any person who shall
continue any work in or about the property or within the Public Right of Way
after having been served with this Violation Notice, will be subject to paying
daily violation fines up to $300.
Please contact the Building Department at (978) 619-5642 upon receipt of this
notice. If you are aggrieved by this letter, your appeal is to the Zoning Board of
Appeals.
