Ch. 40C) and the Salem Historic Districts Ordinance. Per the Demolition Delay Ordinance, the Commission made the following findings: 1) The Commission voted unanimously to find the garage building historically significant as it is a contributing resource in the Bridge Street Neck National Register Historic District; and 2) Based on the revised renovation plans by Studioful Design+Architecture dated 4/17/24 (see attached image), which modifies the roofline and façade of the garage while preserving the overall symmetry and rhythm of the three-bay garage and incorporating historic design elements from the ca. 1830 Federal style house, the Commission voted 4-1 to find the roof not preferably preserved and the work may proceed on the improvements shown on the plans.
