Dear Mr. Laroe,
We are applying for a special permit in accordance with Section 9.4 to replace the
existing landing and stairs located on the back of our home. We propose to construct a
14'xl3% 10"room addition with a shed-style roof,two new landings and stairs. The
proposed addition is modest and is in keeping with/and complementary to the
neighborhoods character. There are no negative impacts to our surrounding neighbors.
There will be no impact to traffic flow or parking.
The addition will not impact the ability for utilities or public services to access meters.
There will be no impact on the environment. Drainage from new impervious surfaces
will be similar to the existing landing, stairs,roof structures, and concrete pad.
With the approximate 196 sq. ft. of space that will be added, a positive change to the
Salem tax base is anticipated.
