An application is being submitted to the Board of Appeals for the following reason(s): COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
I am proposing to build a 14'x 1 T-10"second-story addition with two landings and stairs to my home located at 29 Linden Street in the R2
Zoning District. The zoning ordinance requires 10 ft.side setback and our current lot coverage is 37.3%. We are seeking relief from the
10 ft.side setback to 9 ft.side setback and the%lot coverage would increase to 39.8%.
For this reason,I am requesting:
LILiLU Variance(s)from provisions of Section side setback and%lot coverage of the Zoning Ordinance,specifically from the side
setback is 1 Oft. The new side setback would be 9ft. The current existing lot coverage is 37.3%. The proposed lot coverage would be
39.8%.,

The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem Zoning Ordinance and allow the project to be
constructed as per the plans submitted,as the enforcement of said Zoning By-Laws would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning
Ordinance.
Statement of Hardship(for Variances):
To Whom It May Concern,
The circumstances of our hardship are the shape and size of our lot. The minimal size of our lot and the location of our home on the lot
leave no other area to build our room addition. Therefore,we seek relief from side setback and percent lot coverage.
