MCCARTHY THOMAS ST.PIERRE ACTING MAYOR DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROPERTY/BUILDING COMMISSIONER VIOLATION NOTICE May 10, 2023 8-10 Cherry Street LLC David Carnevale 44 Prince Street Beverly, Ma 01915 RE: 8-10 Cherry Street Dear Homeowner, An inspection was conducted by our office along with Fire and Health inspectors on Wednesday May 10, 2023. During the inspection the following violations were observed. 1.) Egress locations altered creating stairs leading to a dead end- CMR 780 105.1 and 1003 2.) Bedrooms created in multiple units with no windows and no Building or Electrical permits- CMR 780 sec. 105.1 and 1030.1 3.) Windows sealed shut in bedrooms-CMR sec. 1030.1 4.) All units missing CO alarms-CMR 780 sec. 915.2.1 5.) Doors in hallway left in place and framed closed with no permits- CMR 780 sec.105.1 6.) Dryer vents not properly vented- M 504.1 7.) Storage of unregistered and not inspected vehicle- City Ordinance sec.24.1 You are directed to provide our office with an architectural stamped review of the life safety of the above-mentioned property within two weeks of receiving this violation notice. All violations must be corrected within three weeks of this violation letter with a licensed contractor and the appropriate Building and Electrical permits. Contact our office immediately upon receipt of this letter. Failure to comply and resolve the violations will result in municipal code tickets and further enforcement actions.
