Dear Ms. Rivera,
On Monday, August 14, 2023, the Salem Board of Health was informed of a large
pile of trash, furniture and debris that was illegally dumped along Loring Avenue
in Salem. While this trash, furniture and debris were being removed a piece of
mail addressed to you from Mass Health was discovered.
Illegal dumping is a violation of 310 CMR 19.014 (2) "No person shall dispose or
contract for the disposal of solid waste at any place in Massachusetts which has
not been approved by the Department pursuant to M.G.L. c.111,§ 150A, 310
CMR 16.00 or 310 CMR 19.000."
This letter is to serve as warning that if you are identified as having illegally
dumped in this location or anywhere else in the City of Salem further
enforcement action, including, but not limited to monetary citations and/or a
criminal complaint being sought against you in Salem District Court will be taken
against you.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions regarding this
letter.
Sincerely, '
