Re: code upgrades to Fire job at 8-10 Burnside Street
Mr. Casletto,
This letter is to confirm the upgrades and repairs that you did to 8 -10 Burnside. What I observed evening of
the fire was a significant amount of work that had been done by unqualified individuals . The most concerning
was the unpermitted boiler and wiring that had clearly been done by the homeowner or other non-professional.
While looking over the basement area, several structural issues were noted, including support posts that were
either removed or missing and joists that were rolling out of the notched beams . The overall condition of the
home was one that had been used heavily and a lot of mis-matched work including plumbing,had been
done.,by unlicensed individuals. These were the issues I pointed out to you on a subsequent inspection.
I am satisfied that the work you have completed at this property has brought the overall structure into a much
better condition than it was in prior to the Fire.
