RE: 158 North Street sign violations.
Dear Owners, This Department has received and confirmed complaints regarding the signage at the barbershop.
The flashing lights are a violation of the Salem sign ordinance and the blade sign on the curb line is not allowed
per the sign ordinance either. You are directed to stop using both signs upon receipt of this notice. Failure to
address will result in daily Municipal code tickets and further enforcement actions. The Salem sign Ordinance
can be found in the City's code of ordinances, section 4.
If you feel you are aggrieved by this order, you have the right to file an Appeal with the Salem Zoning Board of
Appeals. Any questions about approving correct signage should be directed to the Planning Department.
