The Undersigned hereby petitions the Board of Appeals to vary the terms of the Salem Zoning Ordinance and allow the project to be
constructed as per the plans submitted,as the enforcement of said Zoning fay-Laws would involve practical difficulty or unnecessary
hardship to the Undersigned and relief may be granted without substantially derogating from the intent and purpose of the Zoning
Ordinance.

The conversion of this single-family dwelling to a two-family dwelling will provide an additional one-bedroom unit without any exterior
changes.The unit will provide income for the existing family.This unit provides an additional residential unit in Salem with no exterior
changes nor affects the current design character of the neighborhood.
Two additional parking spaces will be provided in the rear yard.
This proposal has no changes to the utilities or other public services.All services are public.Additionally,there are no changes to the
natural environment or drainage.
The creation of this unit will provide an additional tax base and may increase local employment.
