An application is being submitted to the Board of Appeals for the fallowing reason($):
We are proposing to replace our 2nd-storyemergency-exit staircase and landing with safer rnalerials and en extended landing.This
improvement is to our home located at 6 Upham Street,in the R-2 Zoning Districl. The Zoning Ordinance requires the minimum depth of
the rear yard to be 34 feet,but the current staircase is 1.4 feel from the rear property line.The proposed replacement stakcaso would be
the same distance{1.4 feet}from the rear property line,and would not increase nonconformity nor create a new nonconformity. The
current landing is 5xS' and the proposed replacement landing would be 1 O'x15', but the extension will
not create a new nonconflrmity.
For this reason,F am requesting:
